Since the beginning there have always been three: The X-acto knife, tweezers and crazy glue. These are the quintessential tools of a model maker. It is true that when it comes to fabricating and cutting, 3D-Printers, CNC machines and laser plotters are infinitely better. The amount of detail these technologies can produce cannot be matched by hand cutting. But when it comes time to assembly, in the hands of an experienced model maker these three old-school tools still reign supreme.
